Reason for Being

Byers SpatialAge Division exists to provide AM/FM/GIS software and services in an innovative and disciplined environment while earning a fair profit and enhancing our clients’ business.

Software Strategy

Byers SpatialAge Division develops and maintains a standardized portfolio of software for delivering AM/FM/GIS solutions to clients. The portfolio is tailored to support the management and analysis of location-based asset information with a suite of tools to mechanize and streamline processes for planning, building, provisioning, and maintaining these assets.

Byers Software Policies

	1	Professional Standards Byers strives for the highest Professional Standards by following its software policies and by continuously assessing and improving its software practices.	Byers will strive to operate based on the highest professional standards and processes.
	2	Customer Knowledge Byers software products are based on Customer Knowledge. Initially, the solution might be captured in High Level Requirements Specification and it is always detailed in the Functional Specification. As the project moves on, all modified customer requirements are captured in Change Control specifications.	Byers will strive to understand and incorporate our customers’ business knowledge in our products.
	3	Relationship Management Relationship Management is based on a mutually agreed upon Statement of Work and clients are informed via Project Status Reports on a regular basis.	Byers will maintain a proactive professional relationship to its customers.
	4	Two-Phase Funding Byers projects are based on Two-Phase Funding. The first phase focuses on specification of requirements, it starts from a Statement of Work, and it leads to a Functional Specification.
