"Our success has always been dependent on the development of our employees.  They are our front line, and only by ensuring their success do we ensure the success of our clients and their customers."  -- Tim Parker

As division president, Tim Parker is responsible for the overall business operations of the Engineering Division. The Engineering Division provides outside and inside plant design, planning, project management, inspection, and right-of-way acquisition services, both wireline and wireless, for the telecommunications and utility industries.

The division's 900 employees include project managers, routine and senior design personnel, CAD technicians, registered communications distribution designers, special right-of-way and permitting agents, inspectors, and marketing, recruiting, and support personnel. The division's clients include AT&T, Verizon, Entergy Corp., Comcast, Cingular, AGL Resources, TDS Telecom, Atlantic Telephone, and Public Service Telephone.

Tim joined the firm as a telecommunications field engineer in 1979. He represented the firm in various technical assignments throughout the Southeast before joining the management team in 1985. In 1992 he was promoted to Assistant Vice President over engineering, and in 1994 he assumed responsibility for all underground utility locating services in Georgia. In this role he also served as a member of the Georgia Utilities Coordination Committee in the Cobb, Cherokee, and Gwinnett County chapters. Tim also served on the Georgia Utilities Coordinating Council's Ad-Hoc Legislative Committee (Georgia Dig Law revisions). In April of 1998, Tim was promoted to his current position as division president with responsibility for the Engineering Division.

Tim earned a bachelor of business administration degree in management with honors, from Kennesaw State University and later a master of science in the management of technology from Georgia Tech.
